MapX conducts Real Property Tax Mapping Workshop

January 27-28,2022 | The Manage Your Assets, Properties and Map It for Visualization or MapX has successfully conducted a tax mapping workshop entitled the “Real Property Tax Mapping Workshop using Online Platform with Surigao del Norte Assessors” last January 27-28, 2022, held at the Auditorium, Library Building and Navigatu, CCIS Building, Caraga State University.

The first day of the event was a series of lectures starting with a talk on tax collection in Surigao del Norte by Engr. Gamalie Benvic Miones, LAOO II, BLGF. It was followed by the discussion about MapX Services by Dr. Rolyn Daguil, Project Lead for MapX. Mr. Dave Anthony Asis, Chief Technology Officer for MapX, assumed the stage and had his talk over the MapX Portal.

The participants got to experience the MapX Portal on the second day. Participants were able to plot, sub-divide and consolidate land parcels as an essential operation in parcellary mapping.

After the workshop, a short open forum was held to have the audience’s insights and feedback about the MapX product. The event is in line with MapX’s vision of assisting local government units in the Caraga region in upgrading its tax mechanism and redeem its loss opportunity in real property tax.
